Sacred Journey: How rare and beautiful it is to even exist

Saturn - Sleep At Last

You taught me the courage of stars before you left
How light carries on endlessly, even after death
With shortness of breath
You explained the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it is to even exist

I couldn't help but ask for you to say it all again
I tried to write it down, but I could never find a pen
I'd give anything to hear you say it one more time
That the universe was made just to be seen by my eyes

I couldn't help but ask for you to say it all again
I tried to write it down, but I could never find a pen
I'd give anything to hear you say it one more time
That the universe was made just to be seen by my eyes

With shortness of breath
I'll try to explain the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it is to even exist

With shortness of breath
I'll try to explain the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist

Listen to this beautiful song here: 'Saturn' by Sleeping at Last

This song came around when a dear friend of mine, Craig Ruddy, died a few days ago. I was listening to this song as my heart ached, yet my soul soared. This song reminds me to be grateful for this sacred journey we are all on called life.

These lines kept me thinking...

You taught me the courage of stars before you left

How life carries on endlessly even after death. If we can live like and learn from the stars, that’s shining bright even in the face of all the fear that we have in our world, then we can be illuminated beings and share love.

With shortness of breath
I'll try to explain the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist

How important it is to remember that all of the things that we’re scared of, all of the hates in the world and all of the different things, are only there because of our fears come up and project them out. What if we start remembering actually just to simply exist is a miracle? It’s absolutely a miracle. Then we can change our perspective on how we live on this earth and it becomes a sacred way of living and everything that we do can have a potential to be an active love.

It reminds me that we are journeying on the right path… a path we take through Shambhala Living. That the whole thing that were doing isn’t just about food growing, it is far greater. It is about changing the way we live and interact in the planet. Regenerative living or interconnected living is really about having a perspective shift to see this life as sacred.

Seeing this life as sacred is seeing the interconnectedness of life. An interconnectedness that can be seen between the connection of sunlight that beams upon our earth that grows our plant, grows our food, grows the tree. The very material that we eat, we are literally eating light, that makes us beings of light. Then, we realize that we are more than this flesh and blood. We are here on this magnificent, beautiful, sacred journey.

But it takes courage to actually see ourselves as light beings. If we only see and embodied that, then it could change how we respond to people. We can no longer respond with anger and hate. Light responds in its illuminating presence that beams and shines bright. Light is a source of the energy on this planet, and within ourselves, in these bodies, is a beam made up of the food from this earth. The food that been beamed upon from light. Then, we can begin then see ourselves on this form of light, in this manifest physical form. With the courage to see that, we can begin to love in different way.

We all have an opportunity to be beams of light, we can shine light and live from our heart space and be kind. We can be kinder to each other and to the earth, if we just remember how miraculous it is that we even exist at all.
